Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technology, including local storage, can remember information between visits.
2. What we use
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
gr_session | Remembers your shopping basket, protects checkout forms and supports the checkout you request. This is strictly necessary. | Browser session |
gr_customer | Keeps you securely signed in to the customer order portal after you use a one-time email link. | Up to 30 days |
gr_admin | Keeps an authorised Groove Records administrator securely signed in. It is never set for ordinary shop visitors. | Up to 24 hours |
groove-cookie-notice-v1 local storage | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. It is not used to identify or track you. | Until browser storage is cleared or the notice version changes |
3. Analytics and advertising
Groove Records does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. If optional cookies are introduced, they will be blocked until the appropriate choice or consent mechanism is provided.
4. Stripe and external services
Payment is completed on Stripe Checkout. Stripe may use cookies on its own website for payment, security and fraud prevention. Stripe's privacy and cookie information applies while you use its service.
5. Your choices
You can block or delete browser storage in your browser settings, but the basket, checkout, customer account or administrator sign-in may stop working. Necessary cookies cannot be switched off through this shop because they provide functionality you request.
