Resale and Commercial Exploitation

Groove Records membership is provided for the benefit of genuine collectors and supporters and is intended to provide access to limited releases, member-priority releases, Archive Finds, Collectors Cuts, signed products and other membership benefits.

Membership benefits must not be used primarily for commercial resale, speculative purchasing or the deliberate acquisition of limited products for resale at a substantial profit.

We recognise that collectors may occasionally sell, trade or otherwise dispose of items from their personal collection. Ordinary private resale will not, by itself, be treated as a breach of these Terms.

Groove Records may regard the following as abuse of membership:

• purchasing member-only, member-priority or limited products with the apparent intention of reselling them for profit;
• offering such products for resale at substantially inflated prices;
• repeatedly reselling products obtained through Groove Records membership;
• purchasing multiple limited items or variants for commercial resale;
• using another person, account or membership to circumvent purchasing limits;
• otherwise using membership privileges in a manner Groove Records reasonably believes is intended to exploit limited availability for commercial gain.

Where Groove Records has reasonable evidence of such activity, Groove Records reserves the right to suspend or permanently revoke the person's membership and withdraw access to membership benefits.

Groove Records may also refuse or cancel future orders involving membership-only, member-priority or otherwise restricted products where it reasonably believes those products are being purchased primarily for commercial resale.

Any decision should be based on the circumstances and available evidence, which may include publicly advertised marketplace listings, purchasing history, repeated resale activity and attempts to circumvent product limits.

This provision is intended to protect genuine collectors and the integrity of the Groove Records membership programme and does not affect statutory rights which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
